NOTICE
The Financial Impact Estimating Conference (FIEC) originally approved for this amendment was interrupted in its work to develop a Financial Impact Statement by the 2020 Legislative Session (during which time the clock was tolled) and then by the closure of state buildings due to the pandemic. At the time, the decision was made to delay the FIEC's formal convening until such time as the state buildings were again open to the public, given the statutory and historic emphasis on participation by the sponsors, proponents, opponents and other interested parties.
Prior to the reopening of state buildings, the Supreme Court of Florida struck the proposed amendment on the ground that the ballot summary is affirmatively misleading. [See corrected opinion dated April 22, 2021: 2019-2116_miscdoc_367183_e05.pdf (flcourts.org)]
The FIEC for this amendment was subsequently dissolved without convening.
